We've teamed up with Southern Water and energy specialists, Cenergist, to have water saving Control Flow products installed into customers’ homes, in a bid to help combat cost of living and climate crisis concerns.
The first phase of the partnership is now complete with a total of 250 Control Flow products installed in Abri properties across the South of England. The water saving technology will help regulate and manage the amount of water used, relative to the type of property and residents’ needs.
Ben Earl, Head of Partnerships and Sustainability at Abri, said “Installing Control Flow products is empowering our customers to have greater control over their water usage. Not only will this allow our customers to save money, but it will also make a positive environmental impact too.
“Following a successful first phase and really positive feedback from our customers, we’ll be working together to install more Control Flow products into Abri homes across the region.”
Brenda Edwards, Water Efficiency Contract Manager at Southern Water, said: “Awareness about the detrimental impact of wasting water is really growing in the UK right now and has been heightened by the heatwave we saw over the summer. Not only can using less water have a positive environmental impact it can also deliver real cost savings. Running the kitchen tap, for example, can waste up to nine litres of water per minute but with a Control Flow water saving device, you can reduce PCC (per capita consumption) saving of 26%.”
Jessica Taylor, Business Accounts Manager at Cenergist, said: “When installed in customer properties, Cenergist’s Control Flow products reduce water wastage and help customers save on hot and cold water consumption. This cuts both water and energy bills. A recent study has proven that the Control Flow products can save customers up to £277 on their energy bills alone.”
