Board and Committee members are chosen through open competition
We like to make sure we have the right mix of skills and knowledge on our Board. That’s why our People and Culture Committee oversee appointments. It’s also why we appoint members for a period of three years, renewable for a second term up to a maximum of six years, in line with the National Housing Federation Code of Governance (2020).
Our Board members are given an annual fee
Being on the Board is a big responsibility and a big time commitment. This fee recognises the experience, knowledge and skills they bring, and the time involved.
A Board Member only receives one fee, regardless of how many committees they sit on in Abri. Payments to Board Members are reviewed biennially and benchmarked every three years.
