To help prioritise equality, diversity and inclusion at Abri we’ve introduced EDI Ambassadors. In this role, our colleagues put forward ideas, start conversations and get active in making sure everything we do is the best it can be, with equality at the fore.
We’re spotlighting some of our EDI Ambassadors, including Head of Central Support Services, Zoë Collingwood-Dane. Hear more from Zoë about why she became an EDI Ambassador and how her role will make a difference, below.
Why did you want to become an EDI Ambassador?
To make sure Abri are really doing all we can to be an inclusive organisation.
What do you hope to achieve as an ambassador?
I want to show the teams that I work with that EDI is important. I am excited to see what we get involved in.
What can we all do to champion and ensure equality, diversity and inclusion?
Don’t sit and watch discrimination or prejudice happen and do nothing about it. Challenge and educate if you feel able.
If someone wants to make a positive difference but isn’t sure how to, what advice would you give them?
Educate yourself, don’t be afraid to call out your own prejudices and have an open heart and mind.
