What you've told us
Our Community Investment survey highlighted that our priorities for the area were still important to the community with 79% of customers surveyed reporting that they either completely or mostly felt the current priorities reflected the needs of their community.
Furthermore 29% of customers surveyed have attended our projects to gain support, either through the Opportunities Hub for specific sessions or courses related to health and cost of living, such as energy efficient cooking or Christmas craft activities and coffee afternoons.
There were key concerns raised around anti-social behaviour (ASB), although the responses to the impact of this did vary across the area. The mixed feedback regarding ASB could be attributed to the size of the area and varied support available. The consensus is that there needs to be more police presence, with a quarter of the responses highlighting ASB as an issue. Equally when considering the community area as a whole, fly tipping and local access to transport were also raised as a concern.
The feedback around local opportunities highlighted the need for more activities to support social isolation, alongside the need for greater youth provision within the area.
Your priorities
- Working with the Youth Council to explore longer term youth provisions in the area that young people genuinely want.
- Working closer with Thames Valley Police to run Community Action Days to engage with the communities and speak to YP regarding ASB.
- We will continue with the coffee afternoon and work with local organisations to promote all opportunities locally available to support social isolation as well as looking at new opportunities to try.
- Continue to work with local organisations regarding physical environment and education on rubbish and fly tipping.

You said, we did
You said:
You were concerned that the benches in the Community Garden were rotten and unsafe.
We did:
We applied for funding through the social value fund, this was successful and provided three new picnic benches for everyone to use, the benches are made of recycled sustainable material that will last a long time. These are currently in the community garden and will be moved with the garden over to the new park area.
