Our Legal Structure
In 2019, Radian Group and Yarlington Housing Group tied the knot. A perfect match. We’re now Abri and the rest is history. Silva Homes joined the group in October 2023, and we completed our partnership with Octavia Housing in December 2024.

Our Governance Structure
Our Group Board is responsible for setting Abri’s strategic direction, objectives and values. They monitor our performance, how well we’re managing our finances and are also responsible for ensuring effective governance across the business. They achieve this with the support of the Executive Board and the following four committees, to which certain responsibilities are delegated:

- People and Culture Committee
- Customer Committee
- Investment Committee
- Integration Committee
- Remuneration Committee
Code of Governance
Abri has adopted the National Housing Federation (NHF) Code of Governance 2020, which is designed to help housing associations achieve the highest standard of governance and board excellence.
Regulatory Performance – In Depth Assessment
In November 2025 we maintained our top ratings of G1 for governance and V1 for viability, following a stability check by the Regulator of Social Housing.
Environmental, Social & Governance
The ESG report is Abri's annual update on how we as a business are delivering against the 48 criteria of the Sustainable Reporting Standard for Social Housing and relates to our environmental targets, social programmes and governance reporting.
Nominated persons
Safety compliance
The nominated person is the Commercial Services Director. Their deputy is the Director of Governance, Health and Safety, and Assurance.
Fire safety
The nominated persons are the Commercial Services Director and the Associate Director of Strategic Asset Management.
Compliance with Consumer Standards
The nominated person is the Chief Operating Officer. Their deputy is the Regional Managing Director (South East).
Member responsible for complaints (in line with the Housing Ombudsman Service Complaint Handling Code)
The nominated person is the Chair of the Customer Committee.
Nominated individual for the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
The nominated individual is the Assistant Director of Care, Support, and Communities.
The legal bit
Abri and Octavia are trading names of Abri Group Limited (AGL), a charitable community benefit society registered under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 (register no. 8537). Registered with the Regulator of Social Housing (register no. L4172). Registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide regulated activities. The Swaythling Housing Society Limited is a subsidiary of AGL and is a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 (register no 10237R). Registered with the Regulator of Social Housing (register no. L0689) and authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Tax strategy 2026/27
In accordance with Schedule 19, Section 16 of the Finance Act 2016, Abri Group is required to publish a tax strategy as turnover in 2024/25 exceeded £200m.
This strategy will outline how we manage UK tax risks, our attitude to tax planning, the level of risk we are prepared to accept and how we work with HMRC.
The strategy was approved by the Group Board in March 2026.
