Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs)

What is STAIRs?

Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs) is a new government standard which provides customers with more information on their landlord, the housing services available to them, and data on how their homes are managed.

From 1 October 2026, we will publish information as part of the STAIRs publication scheme.

We are committed to being open and transparent and will continue to keep the information on our website up to date and easy to access.

From 1 April 2027, customers will have a legal right to request information about how we manage homes and deliver services. We'll share more details on how to make a request

STAIRs Publication Scheme

We already publish much of the information included in our publication scheme across our website.

To make it easier to find, we've organised this information into clear categories with links to the relevant pages and documents, helping you quickly access information about us, how we manage your home, and the services we provide.

Keeping the scheme updated

We will ensure that the information we share remains accurate, relevant, and useful to you. We'll review and update the publication scheme on a regular basis.

When we might turn down requests

We may turn down a request if:

  • We can't establish the identity of the applicant.
  • The request is unclear, offensive, abusive, or repeated.
  • The work required would exceed 18 hours of staff time.
  • Disclosure would be unreasonable or breach legal obligations.
  • The information was created after the request was received.

History of information

We aim to publish information that is accurate, current and up to date.

Where possible, we'll provide the latest version of information. If historical information is available, we'll clearly explain the period it covers.

Leaving feedback and contacting us

If you have questions about this publication scheme, accessibility requirements, information requests or publication scheme reviews, please contact the STAIRs team by emailing STAIRS@abri.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We're also always looking for ways to improve, so please send us an email if you have any feedback, comments, or suggestions.
