I need information about Independent Living services and support
We’ve got loads of housing and support options for older people. And for people with specific needs too.
Find out more about our accommodation options
We help people keep their independence
We know how we’d feel if we had our independence taken away. That’s why we’ve designed our independent living properties in a way that helps people keep their independence. But we’ve also got lots of additional support available if it’s needed.
Our properties all have Independent Living Officers. They manage our properties and keep everything ship shape. They also provide a housing support service. Although don’t get this confused with nursing care. They don’t provide that, but don’t worry. The team will get nursing services in if needed.
What services do you provide for the Over 60s?
We’ve got loads of specialist support services for older people. We know how we’d feel if we had our independence taken away. That’s why we help people stay independent for as long as possible.
Life is more fun with friends. And we think everyone deserves to feel part of something. So we help older people make the most of their community.
We’re not picky. You don’t have to be living in one of our independent living homes to access our services. Anyone in the community can get in touch. Because everybody deserves to be helped.
Go to our Additional Services page for more info on:
- Mobility scooter advice
- Funding and Grants
- Help @ Home
- Meal Service
- Alarm Services
- Guest Rooms
- Tenancy Sustainment
- Mutual Exchange and Downsizing
How can I apply to live in your schemes?
There’s a few ways you can apply to live in our independent living properties. Take a look at out How to Apply page first. But if that doesn’t answer your questions, our team are happy to help.
I need information about grants and funding
Ever had a light bulb moment and thought of a way to solve an issue in your community? The best ideas often come from experience. When you live somewhere, you know what is needed. What problems people are facing. What an area is missing. We give grants and funding to help.
You can get funding for your education. And you can get funding for your community.
Need help to hold an event?
Want to run a new club?
Are you working on a project?
Are you trying to learn a new skill?
Need a laptop to help with your studies?
Does your community group need some extra cash?
You don’t have to be a customer to apply for funding.
So long as you’re helping the community, we’re all ears.
Please see our community funding page to find out what you might be eligible for.
I'm a current or prospective Abri customer, how can I make a payment?
Out of Hours emergencies
If you have an emergency and need to contact us outside of our opening hours, please call 0300 123 1567.
But remember if you call out contractors for a repair that is not an emergency, you will be charged (and repairs outside working hours are more costly).
You can log non-emergency repairs on the portal at any time of the day or night.
