Apprenticeships

At Abri, we see apprenticeships as a development opportunity for colleagues at every stage of their career. Whether you're starting out, building specialist knowledge or preparing for a future leadership role, apprenticeships can help you develop new skills, gain qualifications and grow your career.

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship allows you to combine practical training with on-the-job experience, all while earning a salary.

Most of your time will be spent alongside experienced colleagues. You’ll apply your learning in the workplace and put your new knowledge, skills and professional behaviours into practice. The remaining working hours are set aside for training and study related to your role. This usually takes place with a college or online training provider.

Just like other colleagues, you’ll have the same entitlements such as pay, holiday and pension contributions, as well as whole host of extra benefits!

What apprenticeships do we offer?

Our apprentices work in a whole range of different roles from Data Engineer to Associate Project Manager, as well as a variety of site-based trade roles.

Who can do an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships are for everyone aged 16 and over. And we’re keen to hear from applicants of all ages, backgrounds and experience.

Natalie Hill, former apprentice and now Head of Change and Service Improvement

Natalie completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) Degree Apprenticeship with the integrated association for Project Management (APM) Qualification, combining academic learning with day-to-day leadership practice.

When asked if she would recommend apprenticeships, Natalie said: "Absolutely. Apprenticeships provide a structured opportunity to reflect on practice, embed learning in real time, and connect with peers across different organisations and sectors."

Seeing the success and incredible support through her own journey, Natalie is now looking to recruit an apprentice to her own team.
