“We welcome the Housing Ombudsman’s recent spotlight report Relationship of Equals, which will ensure the housing sector, and its governance, has a consistent definition and approach to supporting vulnerable customers, so that services are fair and adaptable to meet individual needs.
“Abri has a Reasonable Adjustments Policy which is aligned to the Housing Ombudsman’s own policy, we will be reviewing our policy to incorporate these new recommendations. In 2022 Abri carried out an exercise to ensure our complaints process was accessible to customers with vulnerabilities and that no demographic group was unfairly treated or excluded by our process. We will revisit this review, and the Housing Ombudsman’s report, to ensure that the accessibility of our complaints is aligned with the new Housing Ombudsman Code in preparation for this to apply in the new financial year.”
