We are delighted to congratulate Trainee Surveyor, Jess Martin on her success after winning the Best Young Female of the Year, awarded by the Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Technology at University of West of England, Bristol.
Each year the Dean publishes a list of selected students who’ve been nominated by their tutors for their high standards of work. Achieving marks over 70 per cent on every assignment submitted in her final year, Jess’ commitment and dedication landed her on the Dean’s radar.
After making the exclusive list, she discovered she had won Best Young Female Surveyor of the Year – a faculty award that recognises a male and a female student for their outstanding efforts.
In the final stages of completing her degree in Building Surveying, her remarkable success is just the beginning for Jess who is graduating later this year. Commenting on her achievement Jess said:
“Studying part time for the last five years whilst working full time hasn’t been a breeze, but I’m ambitious and set myself goals to achieve. This award has made me realise that with hard work and perseverance, I can accomplish whatever I put my mind to.
“Looking ahead, I hope my achievement encourages people, especially other women to pursue a career in Building Surveying.”
