We regularly hold Community Action Days - a chance to spend time in our communities, supporting customers with maintenance, housing, employment and sharing how we’re supporting with the cost of living. It’s a cross-team effort and a great way for us to get to know our customers, hear first-hand how we can support them, improve things, and make a difference.
Our next Community Action Day is in Carlton Road North, Littlemoor, on Tuesday 11 April, 10am-2pm.
What’s happening at the action day is based on feedback from customers who attended the last one in June. Lara Peters, Community Development Officer, said: “The customers really enjoyed it, and gained a lot from the day because they felt it was easy to talk to us about any issues they may have had.
“We’ll be providing a waste removal service, ad-hoc repairs by our trades and the chance to speak with our community development, employment and tenancy sustainment team. A retrofit project will also soon be commencing for these properties, so we have the Low Carbon team here too to answer any questions or concerns.
“We offer free tea, coffee & food, and want to create a relaxed environment to encourage our customers to share their thoughts and opinions with us. We ultimately want to make sure we’re getting things right, and this is a great opportunity to do this. If anyone wants to come along, please get in touch with me, we’d love to see you there.”
