The next stage in the government's easing of COVID-19 restrictions starts today. So we wanted to update you on everything you need to know about changes to safety measures we have in place and how our services will run.
Our services will continue as they are
We’ll continue running all our services in line with the latest government guidance about working in people’s homes. This includes our repairs and maintenance services, gas servicing, grounds maintenance, estate and property inspections and lettings service.
We’re doing all we can to keep you safe but there are ways you can help too
Some of our PPE may be slightly different but we’re still doing all we can to keep you safe including maintaining social distancing and following the government’s ‘hands, face, space’ guidelines.
For your own added protection and reassurance, we suggest that you also wear a face covering and maintain social distancing when we enter your home. If you don’t have a face covering and would like one, just let us know and we’ll be happy to provide one.
Please tell us if you’re showing COVID19 symptoms
You can book your repairs in the usual ways. The quickest way is through the portal. If you have a repair booked and you or a member of your household is showing COVID19 symptoms, please let us know and we will happily rebook the appointment.
There's a few changes to Independent Living schemes
Abri colleagues working at schemes may now wear face coverings in communal spaces where social distancing can be maintained, instead of the respiratory air hoods they’ve been wearing before.
If you’re an Independent Living customer, you can now have non-essential visits in your own home, following the ‘rule of six’ or by observing a limit of two households at any one time. I’m sure this is welcome news to you.
For now, all indoor communal meeting spaces, including lounges, will stay closed for everyone while we begin preparations for these spaces to reopen. We're hopeful this will be in June and we will keep everyone up to date, as the welcome easing of restrictions continues.
Café 1759 welcomes you back inside
We’re delighted to welcome customers back inside Café 1759 once again. Our Communities and Employment teams will also be working on getting back out and meeting you, including restarting our job clubs.
