Chris Adams, Employment and Training Manager at Abri, said: “We know the cost-of-living crisis is having a huge impact, and we’re here to support our customers and communities. By opening the Employment and Opportunity Hub in Café 1759’s The Room, customers will be able to access our free employment support and advice on their doorstep. We can help people in Whitehill & Bordon into employment, secure a pay rise or better work conditions, take the next step on their career ladder, start their own business, or find training to help build their skills and confidence.
“Not everyone is born with the same opportunities. But we can help level the playing field. We believe it doesn’t matter where you’re from, it’s about where you’re going, and we’ve got a whole team to help people get there. We know that securing training opportunities or sustained employment is more than just skills and experience though. We want to create a community, working with our partners and other agencies, to not only offer support but bring residents together. That’s why there’ll be opportunities from our partner organisations too.”
