We've appointed Rose Bean to our Executive Team
This important new position will help steer our approach to achieving net zero carbon by 2050. In the role, Rose will lead the way with regeneration and sustainable practices, which includes plans to retrofit existing homes.
Rose’s appointment signals our commitment to achieve net-zero across its stock and wider business.
“In our first six months as Abri we have already begun to deliver on our priorities, setting out on our target of building at least 10,000 homes by 2030 and launching our strategic approach to becoming carbon neutral.
“I am excited to step into this new position and help drive these projects and more forward. I have worked in housing for 16 years; it is my passion. I’m looking forward to leading our colleagues, and supporting the board and Executive team, towards a sustainable, bright future.” – Rose Bean
Rose first worked in our customer contact centre before becoming a Trainee Surveyor. Various roles and promotions followed within the asset management function. Before stepping into her new executive role she was our first Director of Asset Management and Regeneration. Rose is also a board member for 1625 Independent People, a charity that supports young people who are homeless, or at risk of losing their home.
On her latest appointment, and the creation of this new Executive position at Abri, Group Chief Executive, Gary Orr, said:
“Rose is already an integral part of our team and appointing her to this new role made complete sense. She is a natural driver for sustainable change, which will be important on our journey to net zero carbon. And she is passionate about giving communities places to live and thrive. All of this and more made Rose the clear choice to lead in this role.”
The announcement of this role follows the launch of the Greener Futures Partnership and a separate £350m construction framework. Both will see us collaborating with partners to build and retrofit thousands of sustainable homes.
