We've exchanged contracts with AJC Developments to provide 21 affordable homes at the Handley Cross development in Hazelbury Bryan in Dorset.
The new homes will be built on the former Handley Cross Fine Foods site and will provide 15 homes for shared ownership and six for affordable rent – thanks to grant funding from Homes England.
Work is expected to start on site in the coming months and the homes will feature a mixture of two and three-bedroom houses which are due for completion by summer 2022.
James Pennington, Director of Development at Abri said: “It’s great to be working with AJC Developments on our first quality, affordable homes together, utilising a former brownfield site to meet the needs of the local community. We’re committed to providing more opportunities for home ownership and to build at least 1,000 homes a year for the next decade.”
David Cracklen, Director at AJC Group said “We are delighted to be bringing forward this fabulous site in a beautiful corner of Dorset alongside our development partners Abri. Together we are passionate advocates in the ability of affordable housing to change the landscape of residential development across our region for generations to come.”
