Last autumn we consulted with customers on merging three housing associations in the Abri Group – Drum Housing Association Ltd (Drum), Portal Housing Association Ltd (Portal) and Yarlington Housing Group (Yarlington) – into one landlord, Abri Group Ltd (Abri).
Thank you to customers who got involved
We want to thank everyone that gave us their opinion. More than 100 customers got involved and the majority were in favour of the merger. With the feedback we hoped to complete the merger by 31 March 2021 but, unfortunately this has been delayed.
We’re going to merge in two stages
We’ve decided to merge in two stages. The first stage will see Drum and Portal merge into Yarlington by 31 March 2021. Stage two will see Yarlington become Abri just like we originally planned.
Because of the change, we need to consult with Drum and Portal customers again
This new phased approach means that Yarlington will become Drum and Portal customers’ landlord. Before we make this decision, we need to consult with customers again.
Even though the landlord will change for Drum and Portal customers, nothing else will. The services, who to contact and legal rights will not change.
This phased approach means Yarlington customers will not be affected right now
Because of this two-stage approach, Yarlington customers will not be affected until stage two.
Drum and Portal customers have until Tuesday 9 February to give us their feedback
There are several ways customers can share feedback:
- Answering a few questions online
- Going to MyRadian
- Writing to us
- Sending us an email: CustomerConsultation@abri.co.uk
- Or giving us a call on 0300 123 1567
