Increasing employment and connecting people to new opportunities is really important to us. We want every single person to have access to work and training in their community, and we’ve got a team of passionate people who help make that happen.
But we can’t do it alone, so working with our partners is a key part of it. And that’s why we’re excited to let you know that we’re sponsoring the Housing, Learning and Work Conference in February 2021.
About the event
In case you’re not familiar with it, the Housing, Learning and Work Conference is an annual event jointly led by Communities that Work and the Learning and Work Institute. It’s an opportunity for professionals both in the sector, and in other industries too, to come together to share new ideas and latest policy developments.
This year’s focus is on rebuilding the economy following lockdown. And how we foster partnerships between housing and employment services to help communities secure positive futures. This is something we’re focusing on for the next five years, so it made total sense for us to support this event and find new ways to support the people living in the south and south west of England.
Looking to a positive future
2020 has been a really challenging year, and employment is high across all areas of the country. But in housing and employment, and partner industries, we can come together to create positive opportunities that will help to enhance people’s lives and get them back into work.
This conference is a great chance to hear directly from partners about how they’re helping communities recover following the impacts of the pandemic, and we look forward to sharing our activity and approaches too.
