We want to make your home and community a great place to live, so are always looking for ways to make improvements. We’ve been busy making some changes based on feedback and ideas you’ve shared with us.
Here’s just a few things we’ve done.
We’ve been doings lots to make our communities safer
You said you were concerned about anti-social behavior in local parks and open spaces in Gosport, Portsmouth.
So we worked with Hampshire police and Mutual Gain to set up World Café, which helps tackle serious youth crime. We’ve set up a Homeless Support Group with Gosport Borough Council and members of your community are working on improvement projects with the help of funding from us and the Home Office.
You said you were concerned about criminal activity outside of some flats in Southampton
So we’ve fitted CCTV to help make you feel safer in your home
We’ve also been helping improve sense of community
You said you wanted your local Shinewell Gardens community to be better presented and feel like a nice place to live.
So we held a service day with Shinewell where we worked with you to clean up the area and remove unwanted items to make it a much nicer place to live.
You said your outside communal area at Dedworth Road flats felt unpleasant and not nice to be in
So we provided funding so you can improve the communal area in exactly the way you wanted to.
You said you wanted to enhance the sense of community at Tregenna House.
So we provided benches, allowing families to sit together and safely watch their children play.
That’s not all, there’s loads more we’re doing based on your feedback, here’s a few more examples
You said you wanted the Longwood Park Tots group to continue virtually during COVID19 restrictions.
So we helped the group setup a Whatsapp for families and provided craft ideas for families to do at time.
You said you wanted a safe place to store you bikes at Longbourne.
So we provided communal bike stores.
