Somerton Road, Langport, Somerset

Abri is proposing to build 100 new homes near Somerton Road in Langport which will be 100 per cent affordable. The development will include 44 homes for shared ownership and 56 homes for social rent for local people and will be built by Abri’s in-house construction team. We intend to build a mix of one-bedroom apartments, two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, as well as two bungalows which will be adapted for wheelchair users to cater to a wide range of needs. Sustainable features will also be incorporated including air source heat pumps for energy efficient heating, high levels of insulation and solar panels to help reduce energy bills.

We want to carefully consider the appearance of the local area when designing our proposed homes to ensure that they will go well with the local area and be a positive addition to the local community.

Reserved Matters submitted February 2025 with a start on site in 2026 and the homes to be built in 2028.
