The strong sense of community at Windermere Close has been life-changing for Keith.
Although the 66-year-old has only lived here for two-and-a-half years, he feels like he has a second family.

Keith sees his neighbours as more than just that. There is genuine care for one another, with people regularly checking in and building a high level of trust. From the moment he moved in, Keith felt welcomed. Residents were quick to introduce him to the activities and events on offer, and he didn’t hesitate to get involved.
Since then, Keith has fully embraced community life and feels like he can be himself.
He’s become an integral part of the community, organising bingo sessions, coffee mornings, craft days, fish and chip dinners, as well as Christmas and charity events. Life at Windermere Close is all about coming together.

Keith also dedicates his spare time to supporting others, whether that’s putting up a shelf, moving furniture, or helping residents who struggle to get to the community room by helping out with wheelchair access. For him, it’s important that no one ever feels left out. If someone new were to move in, Keith says he’d be the first to welcome them, making sure they feel included and part of the community from day one.
It’s the warmth and genuine care people show one another that makes Windermere Close a great place to live. For Keith, it’s a community where people look out for each other and everyone feels they belong.
