We've appointed Sarah Beckwith as a member of our Development and Assets Committee.
The committee plays a key role in overseeing and scrutinising our development and asset management strategy and decision-making. In this role, Sarah will support the organisation in shaping its approach to development and asset management, ensuring their delivery is of the highest standard and targets are being met and, where possible, exceeded.
Sarah is a Chartered Surveyor who has held director positions at BNP Paribas Real Estate and CBRE. She’s held various board roles, including at Junior Chamber International, a global not-for-profit organisation dedicated to developing leadership skills and creating positive change in communities. On joining Abri, she said:
“I’m delighted to be joining the Development and Assets Committee. It is a great opportunity to combine my experience in property, governance, and community engagement to make a contribution to an organisation committed to tackling some of the biggest issues our society is facing. I very much connect with Abri’s values and am looking forward to working with the team.”
We've committed to delivering 1,000 new homes a year for the next decade, many of which will be affordable. The Development and Assets Committee will play a key role in this, helping the organisation to fulfil its commitment.
Jane Alderman, Chair of the Committee, said:
“We are pleased to welcome Sarah to the committee at an important time for us. There are many challenges and opportunities in housing right now, but with our resources and ambition we can step up to meet them.
“With a wealth of expertise, Sarah is a fantastic addition to our team and will be instrumental in helping shape our strategy.”
